He was born yesterday and today he leaves the world of single digit birthdays forever.
Ten today.
Then there was the chore of opening presents. The only chore my sons enjoy.
My poor oldest son. He loves Lego. This is torture for him. So is the sunburn from yesterday's 5th grade pool party.
Unfortunately for my birthday boy, he had to go to school on his birthday - but only until noon. Summer break ...
I checked the weather forecast and it predicted a sunny 89F. Water balloons were filled and stashed. Water pistols were bought. Towels were packed. The cake was ready. Ice cream was in the cooler.
And then the dark, ugly storm clouds rolled in. Regardless, we drove to the park where we'd scheduled Cullen's birthday party and we realized when the rain came down sideways that our water balloon party wasn't going ...
I was too lazy to make birthday cupcakes for Jordan's class and the next best option is Krispy Kreme Donuts.
Oh wait…KKD is the BEST option. Silly me!!

I have two favourite sons. My oldest is loves Lego and he made this 'Mom' bookmark for me.
"Dear Mom,
I know this kind of a bad ...
Jordan turned 10! He is finally in the double digit category, never to return to single digits. Its a sad day for me!
Jordan woke us up early to open presents and was pleased with his Diary of a Wimpy Kid wrapping paper which was actually a poster that Warren had used to wrap his gifts with (much to my dismay!) I need to get a new poster in the ...
As with last year, Jordan had the choice of having a party or taking the money to spend on whatever he likes. He took the money…wise child that he is.
Because we don’t have family here to invite over and make Jordan’s day special, we said he could invite 2 friends to go to the movies with him and then have pizza and cake at our house afterwards. Initially he was ...
