While cleaning out part of my freezer, I came across Botticelli mini chocolate shells which I'd plan at some point to use but forgot all about them. I also found a bag of Halloween eyeball caramel chocolates. I needed to make something.
So I threw the eyeballs into a bowl over hot water to melt.

The clothes were made.
The make-up was done.
The kids were dressed.
We were ready for the night.
The werewolf was howling and snarling.
All the while Jack Sparrow was taking everything in his stride.
Because Halloween falls on a Monday this year, the teachers decided to allow the kids to wear their costumes to school - with limits.
1. No scary costumes.
2. Normal clothes are to be worn under the costumes.
3. Costumes are to be taken off once the parade is over.
4. No make up, face paint or dyed hair.
5. No weapons even if they are plastic or toy weapons.

The recipe calls for eggs, vanilla extract, food colouring, cream of tartar and powdered/icing sugar.

Since we don't like the whole Halloween holiday, we have always enjoyed an alternative to 'trick-or-treating'.
Many churches have adopted this holiday as an outreach event, inviting kids from the neighborhood to enjoy a free and safe evening of games, food and of course, candy.
This is our second year at Calvary Chapel and we enjoyed last year's Fall Festival. We donated our bag of candy before entering the church building ...
