Today, the boys started at their new school. The school is a charter school which means it is government funded (like public schools) but it is overseen by a board of directors. I kind of think of it as "a private school funded by the government". The education is determined by the school. For example, the public schools in our district use "Everyday Math" whereas the charter school uses "Saxon Math". They ...
Jordan is at soccer camp this morning and his brother is waiting his return. This child is the sweetest thing. He won't play the new Wii game he got for his birthday until his brother comes home. He refuses to. He wants to wait for his bro'. And so I found him sitting on the deck railing eating a snack, waiting.
The morning dragged on and he retired to my bedroom ...
With Jordan graduating from 5th grade at Homestead (the school's highest grade), its time to move on and although we're excited about the school the boys will be going to next, we are sad to say 'goodbye' to Homestead.

It snowed.
School was cancelled for the day.
The boys were ecstatic.
Yesterday I went to the library to pick up a book and decided I'd better get some DVDs 'just in case'.
We watched Thor while decorating our cookies, each with our own tray of decorating stuff on our laps. Like a dunce, I didn't take photos. I ...
The clothes were made.
The make-up was done.
The kids were dressed.
We were ready for the night.
The werewolf was howling and snarling.
All the while Jack Sparrow was taking everything in his stride.
